We work over a single block of stone. The robot roughs it to a precision no hand can hold. Then a master shilpi finishes it by hand, slowly, until the surface comes alive.

A block leaves the earth and reaches your hands through four kinds of care. We keep a record of each one, because the making is where the meaning is kept.
We pick one sound block at the quarry and read it for grain and fault, by eye and by hand. It is held back for a single work. What you commission is one mass of stone, never shared, never cut into pieces.
A robotic arm takes away the surplus to a tolerance no hand could hold across the long hours of roughing. It is patient and it does not tire. It hands us the exact rough form, so the master begins not at the quarry but at the threshold of the work.
A master shilpi works the surface, feather by feather, over the long hours only a hand can give. This is where the stone comes alive. The small asymmetries, the warmth of touch, the things no machine has learned to leave behind.
The finished work is sealed, numbered within its edition, and certified by the house. Origin, hand, material, and date are recorded for good. The record travels with the work for as long as the stone endures.

The robot roughs the form to a tolerance no hand can hold, exact to the fraction of a millimetre, won without fatigue. It is the most patient apprentice this atelier has ever had.
The master shilpi gives the surface the life no machine can. The touch, the judgement, the thousand small decisions that make a face seem to breathe. One brings precision. The other brings presence. We hold on to both.
Made with precision · touched by a hand
The work is finished by master shilpis who have carved for decades, and who carry a lineage of carving handed down across generations. They know each material by its weight, its grain, and its temper.
We name no single maker here. A work of this kind is rarely one pair of hands alone, and we would rather honour the craft honestly than dress it in a story. The hands are real, the years are real, and the proof is in the stone.

Maker portraits are still to come
We design and direct the work from Mumbai, where each commission begins as a conversation and a drawing. We carve it in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, a land of stone and of the people who have shaped it for centuries.
Made in India, by the oldest hands and the newest tools, for collectors and houses the world over.
We take only a few commissions each year · currently booking Q4 2026
Tell us what you have in mind. A figure, a memorial, a monument. We answer every note ourselves, and we begin with a conversation, never a catalogue.
