CommissionedAn objet is not an offcut. It is chosen and carved the same way a figure is, from sound stone, roughed by the robot and finished by a shilpi. The wine rack above is one piece of banded sandstone, the kind quarried near us that people here call rainbow stone, hollowed so the bottles lie in it.
These are the smallest things we make, and usually the first thing a house buys from us. Live with one for a year and you will understand the rest of the work.
